2011年度生命科学行业大奖（Life Science Industry Awards®）日前在美国华盛顿凯悦酒店揭晓。此次大奖表彰了在29类产品和服务中表现最佳的生命科学供应商。

2008年之前，生命科学行业大奖一直由著名的《科学人》（The Scientist）杂志和咨询公司BioInformatics LLC合作主办。不知何故，该活动在2009和2010年停办。今年，BioInformatics LLC公司独挑大梁，举办了此次评选活动。它利用业界最佳实践的市场调研方法，对The Science Advisory Board®（世界上最大的科学家消费者市场研究小组）中的近6600名科学家进行调查，并根据每家公司所获的提名数量、以及客户的满意度和忠诚度，评选出了在29个产品、通讯和支持类别中表现最佳的供应商。

今年，Life Technologies成为最大赢家，横扫7项大奖，其中Gibco产品包揽了细胞培养和分析方面的大奖（仪器除外），显示出金字招牌的实力。GE Healthcare也凭借在蛋白方面的不断创新，获得三项大奖。Illumina公司获得最佳高通量测序平台以及高通量筛选和分析系统两项大奖。此外，QIAGEN、赛默飞世尔、Bio-Rad、BD和CST公司都有两座奖杯在手。
